Tree Service in Roseville, MI

Roseville is a compact Macomb County suburb built almost entirely in the postwar boom, sandwiched between Warren, Eastpointe and St. Clair Shores. About ten square miles of modest single-family homes on regular lots, with the tree inventory to match.

The work here is straightforward and steady: aging silver maples, dead ash that never got dealt with, spruce past their prime, and the stump grinding that follows all of it.

Postwar planting reaching the end of its run

Roseville trees are almost uniformly from the 1950s and 60s subdivisions — silver maple, Norway maple, ash, blue spruce and honey locust. Seventy years on, the silver maples have significant internal decay, the Norway maples are developing girdling roots, and the ash have been dead since the borer came through.

The heavy clay lake-plain soil across Macomb County keeps root systems shallow, which means the failure mode here is usually whole-tree tipping rather than trunk breakage. After a wind event we see uprooted trees with the root plate lifted and the soil heaved.

Roseville also carries a lot of trees planted far too close to foundations. On the smaller postwar lots here, a silver maple set twelve feet from the house in 1958 now has a root system under the slab and a canopy over the roof. Those are the removals we do most, and they are almost always rigging jobs — there is a garage on one side, a fence on the other and a service drop through the middle.

Where we work in Roseville

We work throughout the city — the neighborhoods off Gratiot, Twelve Mile and Thirteen Mile, the areas near Roseville High School and the Macomb Mall, the streets off Utica Road and Common Road, and the sections bordering Warren, Eastpointe, Fraser and St. Clair Shores.

Roseville lots generally have workable access for equipment. We also handle a fair amount of rental and multi-family property work here.

Same price, same cleanup, forty minutes away

Distance from our Southgate shop does not change the number. We schedule Macomb County work efficiently rather than making one-off trips, and the pricing is the same as it would be Downriver.

What also does not change is the cleanup. Brush chipped and hauled, lawn raked, drive and walks blown clean. That is the standard everywhere we work.

What customers say

From our 80 Google reviews. These are customers from across our Michigan service area rather than Roseville specifically — we do not put words in anyone's mouth about where they live.

I needed a tree removed ASAP, I took a chance and called this company and they were out to my house in 15 minutes. I don't normally write reviews but you hear so many bad things about companies I just had to write this review. Paul and his crew came out and removed my tree and cleaned up so nicely and so quick I couldn't believe my eyes. I HIGHLY recommend this company.

I knew they could do the job from watching them take down huge cottonwood trees at a neighbor's. When Eddie gave me his quote I said yes on the spot. I had three 125-foot dead cottonwoods, one of them leaning out over the river, so it was a complicated process. I worried about those trees for three years but no more. I'm happy with their work, their equipment and their team.

Roseville tree service FAQs

Is there a travel charge for Roseville?
No. We work Macomb County regularly and price it the same as anywhere else in our service area.
Why did my tree tip over instead of breaking?
Heavy clay soil keeps roots shallow, so the root plate has comparatively little to grip. In a strong wind the whole tree levers over rather than the trunk snapping. It is the standard failure pattern across Macomb County.
