Those trees are now around seventy years old, which for the species that were planted is the end of the reliable part of their lives. Warren generates a lot of removal work for exactly that reason.
A city that planted everything at once
The 1950s planting palette in Warren was silver maple, Norway maple, ash and blue spruce, with some honey locust and pin oak. Every one of those has a predictable failure mode at this age: silver maples hollow out, Norway maples develop girdling roots, the ash are dead, and the spruce lose their lower canopy to needle cast.
Warren also sits on the flat, heavy clay of the lake plain, which keeps root systems shallow. Combined with an open landscape that offers no wind break, this produces the whole-tree tipping failures we see across Macomb County after significant wind events.
Where we work in Warren
We work across the city — the neighborhoods off Van Dyke, Mound and Ryan, the areas around the GM Tech Center and Warren Consolidated schools, the streets near Twelve Mile and Thirteen Mile, the older southern sections toward Eight Mile, and the areas bordering Sterling Heights, Center Line and Roseville.
Warren lots generally have reasonable equipment access, which keeps job costs down. We also handle a good deal of commercial and multi-family property work along the Van Dyke and Mound corridors.

The whole-block problem
When an entire subdivision planted the same trees in 1955, the entire subdivision reaches the same decision point together. We regularly quote three or four houses on the same Warren street in a single afternoon.
If your neighbors are in the same position, coordinating saves everyone money. Mobilizing once for four properties costs meaningfully less than four separate visits, and we price it that way.
What customers say
From our 80 Google reviews — including this one left by a customer in Grosse Ile.
“Guys are great, hardworking, and quite frankly fearless. They removed two very large trees and several small ones that drowned during the years of high water on Grosse Ile. A cottonwood tree was well over 100 foot tall. Their equipment is state-of-the-art. Work took 3 days and they quoted the day I called. They cleaned up as well as can be expected and exceeded my previous two companies.”
“Had a medium tree split and fall on my home knocking down all my utility wires. One call to the owner very early in the morning and actually got an answer, they were here in less than an hour! Received a phenomenal quote and hired them on the spot. Within another hour they were cutting and removing with lightning speed. When they were done they cleaned the entire yard.”
