The Rouge River runs along the eastern edge through Hines Park, and that corridor is where the biggest trees and the most storm damage are found. Everywhere else, it is classic inner-ring suburban tree work: large maples over small lots, service drops through canopies, and garages at the back of narrow driveways.
An inner-ring canopy at the end of its cycle
Redford's street trees were planted in a compressed window and are now largely the same age. Silver maple and Norway maple dominate, with elm remnants and a fair number of pin oaks that were popular mid-century. Pin oak has a particular problem in this area: it needs acidic soil, and the alkaline clay across much of Wayne County causes chronic iron chlorosis — yellow leaves with green veins — that weakens the tree over decades.
The ash mortality here was severe. Redford has among the highest counts of standing dead ash we still encounter in western Wayne County, largely because they are in back yards where nobody has had a reason to deal with them yet. They are the trees most likely to drop a limb on a garage.
Where we work in Redford
We work throughout the township — the neighborhoods off Grand River, Telegraph and Beech Daly, the areas around Redford Union and Thurston high schools, the Rouge River and Hines Park corridor on the east side, and the sections bordering Detroit, Livonia and Dearborn Heights.
Many Redford properties have narrow drives and back garages, so equipment placement is a real consideration. Where we cannot get a chipper close, we plan the brush handling into the quote rather than discovering it on the day.

Straight pricing on straightforward work
Redford homeowners tend to have gotten a couple of quotes before they call us, and the feedback is consistent: we come in fair and we do what we said. Our reviews from across the region say the same thing over and over — reasonable price, showed up, cleaned up.
That is not a complicated business model. It just requires actually doing it every time.
What customers say
From our 80 Google reviews. These are customers from across our Michigan service area rather than Redford specifically — we do not put words in anyone's mouth about where they live.
“Had a medium tree split and fall on my home knocking down all my utility wires. One call to the owner very early in the morning and actually got an answer, they were here in less than an hour! Received a phenomenal quote and hired them on the spot. Within another hour they were cutting and removing with lightning speed. When they were done they cleaned the entire yard.”
“Crew arrived as expected and were very particular about protecting my and my neighbors' properties. Very professional, courteous and efficient. Removed a 35 foot pine tree, ground out stump and cleaned the area immaculately in just over an hour. Would definitely hire again if needed.”
