Tree Service in Romulus, MI

Romulus is where Detroit Metro Airport sits, and the airport shapes the whole city. Large industrial and logistics parcels, hotel and commercial corridors along Merriman and Wick, and residential neighborhoods scattered between them — often on generous lots with a semi-rural feel that is unusual this close to the airport.

That mix means we do more commercial and industrial tree work here than almost anywhere else in our service area, alongside conventional residential removals and a fair amount of lot clearing on the more open parcels.

From subdivision maples to fence-line scrub

The residential areas carry the standard western Wayne County mix — silver and Norway maple, honey locust, dead and dying ash, blue spruce. Nothing unusual, and the same aging curve as the rest of the county.

The open and industrial parcels are a different problem. Land around the airport and along the rail and industrial corridors has been colonized heavily by volunteer growth: box elder, Siberian elm, tree-of-heaven, buckthorn and honeysuckle in dense thickets along fence lines, drainage courses and back lot lines. That growth damages fencing, blocks sightlines and drainage, and creates genuine liability for property owners.

Where we work in Romulus

We work the whole city — the residential neighborhoods off Wayne Road, Beverly and Ozga, the areas near Romulus High School, the commercial and hotel corridors along Merriman and Wick, the industrial parcels near the airport, and the more rural sections toward Huron Township and New Boston.

Commercial work here is a substantial share of what we do: parking lot canopy, fence line clearing, sightline pruning and hazard removal for logistics, hotel and industrial property owners. Certificates of insurance and scheduled work windows are routine.

Set up for commercial work, close enough for residential

Romulus is twenty minutes from our shop, which makes it practical for both a single back yard maple and a multi-acre fence line clearing at an industrial site.

For commercial clients we handle the paperwork side properly — certificate of insurance naming your entity, written scope, scheduled windows that keep your lot and dock doors usable. Property managers should not have to chase a tree contractor for documents.

What customers say

From our 80 Google reviews. These are customers from across our Michigan service area rather than Romulus specifically — we do not put words in anyone's mouth about where they live.

Absolutely wonderful service! Answered call when I called for quote, received quote, scheduled service quickly. Removed tree, removed debris, ground stump, pruned another tree, cleaned up, and were very efficient! Recommended them already to my neighborhood group and FB followers. Will use their services again when I need work completed.

We recently were in need of tree service and called One of a Kind. We cannot say enough about the job they did. The crew was great, they were professional, personable and left our yard clean, not a twig out of place. We have already passed the name One of a Kind on to a neighbor with the highest recommendation.

Romulus tree service FAQs

Do you handle commercial and industrial properties in Romulus?
Yes, and it is a large part of our work here. Fence line clearing, parking lot canopy management, sightline pruning and hazard removal, with insurance certificates and scheduled work windows.
Volunteer trees are growing through my commercial fence line. Can you clear that?
Yes. Cutting them out is straightforward. Keeping them out requires treating the stumps at the time of cutting, because box elder, elm and tree-of-heaven all resprout aggressively otherwise.
